Department Name EMERGENCY ROOM Job Description POSITION SUMMARYTo carry out patient care activities and related non-professional services in caring for personal needs and comforts of patients working under supervision of registered nurse.
Nonexempt (Hourly - Eligible for overtime)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCurrently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing and have completed at least one (1) clinical rotation.
Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLSAssists with filing, order entry, transcription and copying as assigned.
Assists with transferring, moving and repositioning patients.
Helps patients with feeding during meals as requested.
Observes patient status and reports to RN on findings.
Overall Core Job Responsibilities ratings Cleans, sterilizes and stocks equipment as necessary.
Answers call lights and attends to patients as needed.
