Department Name EMERGENCY ROOM Job Description POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the overall operation of the Emergency Department and its services ensuring alignment with system strategic goals.
Provide professional consultation in all areas of Emergency Services.
Maintains confidentiality regarding highly sensitive information.
Oversees staff and processes related to Emergency Services to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Partners with leaders to drive and sustain an engaged workforce.
Exempt (Salaried - Not eligible for overtime)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSWork experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and seven (7) years of experience with minimum three (3) years management experience.

Ensures ED collaboration and appropriate utilization of services with other departments and service lines.

Delegates appropriately for effective project management and successful outcomes.
Adapts to changes quickly, establishes priorities and sets own work agenda.
Leads the development and administration of policies and procedures to ensure consistent application across the System.
Develops and implements cost savings and performance improvement processes.

Coordinates initiatives to standardize system processes and procedures within assigned area.
Implements industry recognized standards of practice.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Monitors and evaluates all aspects of patient throughput, quality and patient safety and bases performance improvement activities on findings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
