Supply Chain Manager
Job Description Manages the purchasing, scheduling, shipping/receiving, and inventory control functions.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates departmental activities to fulfill safety standards, quality standards, and delivery standards to meet customer requirements and exceed all departmental KPI's.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIESo Ensures safe workplace for all associates and visitors by establishing and maintaining 5S and environmental objectives of department o Directly responsible for plant purchasing, production scheduling, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
o Direct and coordinate activities in supply chain department obtain optimum maximization of inventory and shipping requirements.
o Review and analyze plans and develop department goals and objectives.
o Review of requirements for new parts / service requirements and assure that program analysts relay information as required (Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Materials.
) o Direct and coordinate activities of department to maximize efficiency in all areas of responsibility.
o Coordinate with program analysts any changeovers or new parts and ramp ups.
o Coordinate and reconcile monthly physical inventory.
o Prepare reports as required regarding department activities for management.
o Evaluate procedures and practices for department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices.
o Responsible for preparation and appropriate allocation of department budget.
o Demonstrates AGC Way in all aspects of responsibilitiesRequirementsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSo 7 years of manufacturing materials management experience.
o Moderate to strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
o Bacheloros Degree in a relative discipline.
o Experience working with a MRP/ERP system preferably connected to MAPICSo Purchasing/Negotiationso Supplier/Vendor Certificationo Production Schedulingo Working knowledge of budgeting and inventory control.
o Strong understanding of the balance sheet as it pertains to inventory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSo Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, climb stairs, reach with arms and hands.
o Must be able to lift and move 30 - 50 lbs on a periodic basis.
o Must be able to use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus ability for examining producto Must be able to travel by car or air both domestic and foreign o passport eligible requiredSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSo Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to maintain plant relationships with operations, customers, suppliers, and vendors.
o Effective facilitation and coaching skillso Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast paced, and rapidly changing environmento High degree of commitment and initiativeo Team based management style and interaction skillso Experience in Visual Management System, 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Kan Ban.
o Experience QS9000 ISO/TS 16949 o Excellent oral and written communication skillso Strong analytical and project management skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
