We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our business office team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Process and post customer payments accurately and timely, make collection phone calls - Complete medicaid applications using knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules and follow thru until Medicaid award is received - Complete medicaid billing and follow up to ensure claims are paid timely -Complete LTC154 and other Medicaid paperwork as needed - Complete medical paperworkfor patients to get medical approval for Medicaid - Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments - Maintain resident trust fund in accordance with State and Federal regulations - Maintain accurate records of all transactions - Assist with month-end close activities as needed -Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience:
- Previous experience working in accounts receivable or a related field - Previous experience working with Medicaid applications is preferred - Previous experience in skilled nursing or healthcare field - Previous experience in collections - Knowledge of medical collection and billing processes is preferred Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
