Located in Alabaster, this facility is equipped with 252 beds and sees over 51,000 patients in the emergency department every year. Shelby offers advanced technology resources including a 3 Tesla MRI, a robotic surgery program, and a state-of-the-art cardiology suite. Shelby offers a full range of services to meet the diverse needs of patients including fast, life-saving response times for patients with chest pain or stroke symptoms; cardiology, including specialized surgical services; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; and psychiatric care. Job SummaryThe individual in this position will be an advanced clinical practitioner having additional expertise in a specific field of pharmacy practice. This individual will lead clinical specialized services offered by the department, having additional training, certification, and/or experience. Job Responsibilities-Provide direct patient-centered care and integrated pharmacy services in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.-Deliver medication therapy management within specialized patient care areas and ensure pharmaceutical care programs are appropriately integrated throughout the institution.-Assist in development and implementation of facility-specific protocols, guidelines, and reference documents related to medication therapy management.-Conduct Medication Use Evaluations (MUEs) and assist in making necessary changes to pharmacotherapy practice as needed based on MUE findings. Pharm. D. or BS in pharmacy ExperienceRequired:
3 years or residency training or equivalent experiencePreferred:
