We need a skilled and versatile General Handyman to do exactly that for School For Amazing Kids.
As a General Handyman, for us, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and satisfaction for the leaders, teachers, parents and children at our schools.
No two days will be the same, as you'll be tackling a wide range of projects, from minor repairs to major renovations.
Responsibilities:
1.
General Repairs:
Put your problem-solving skills to the test as you handle a variety of repair tasks, including fixing leaky faucets, patching drywall, repairing doors, and more.
Your ability to diagnose issues accurately and provide effective solutions will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
2.
Carpentry:
Showcase your woodworking expertise by building custom shelves, repairing furniture, installing cabinets, and undertaking other carpentry projects.
Your attention to detail and precision will ensure that our schools are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
3.
Plumbing and Electrical:
From installing fixtures to troubleshooting electrical issues, your knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems will be put to good use.
You'll be the go-to person for ensuring that our schools are safe and well-functioning.
4.
Painting and Finishing:
Transform spaces with your painting skills, creating beautiful and inviting environments.
Your keen eye for color and ability to achieve flawless finishes will leave a lasting impression on our customers.
5.
Communication and Dedicated Service:
As a General Handyman, you'll have direct interaction with our Directors, staff, parents and kids.
Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and commitment to exceptional service will ensure that they feel heard, valued, and are always completely satisfied with your work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role, demonstrating a wide range of skills across various trades.
- Strong knowledge of general repair techniques, tools, and materials.
- Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, sheetrock repair, flooring and other handyman tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass private, ABI / FBI, and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry screenings.
